Sujatha Nidudavolu (born December 1, 1958), known professionally as Jayasudha, is an Indian actress and politician who works predominantly in Telugu and Tamil cinema. She began her film career as a child actor in *Pandanti Kapuram* (1972) before transitioning to leading roles with *Arangetram* (1973), *Nomu* (1974), and the romantic drama *Apoorva Raagangal* (1975). Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, she established herself in mainstream commercial cinema, starring in features such as *Soggadu* (1975), the action film *Adavi Ramudu* (1977), *Idi Katha Kaadu* (1979), and the musical romantic drama *Premabhishekam* (1981). For her leading performances, she received seven Filmfare Awards South and eight Nandi Awards, including wins for *Jyothi* (1976), *Aame Katha* (1977), and *Meghasandesam* (1982). Beginning in the late 1990s, Jayasudha shifted into supporting and character roles, appearing in the comedy *Money* (1993), the drama *Anthimanthaarai* (1996), and the Hindi drama *Sooryavansham* (1999). Over the subsequent decades, she played matriarchal figures across Telugu and Tamil productions, including the romantic drama *Alaipayuthey* (2000), *Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi* (2003), *Bommarillu* (2006), *Kotha Bangaru Lokam* (2008), *Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu* (2013), and *Shatamanam Bhavati* (2017).
